The following FAQs are provided to help with queries related to use of this site for finding holiday accommodation. If you do not find the answer

The location (destination) I am looking for is not listed - why is that?
The destinations in the 'location' menus on the search pages only contain locations in which we have accommodation listed. As soon as an advertiser adds a property to the database in a new location, that location will appear in the menus. If you cannot find a property or hotel in the exact location you require, try searching in the general region of that location instead, for example - if Barcelona was not listed you could try searching in Spain: Costa Brava: which will find accommodation in the whole region around Barcelona.
How often
is the availability of accommodation updated?
The accommodation owners update the
availability themselves so we are reliant on them to keep their ads up-to-date,
however, as an advantage to the advertiser and to keep the site useful for our
site visitors, those ads which are updated regularly appear towards the top
of the listings.
I emailed
an advertiser to request further details but have received nothing – how
long should it take?
An advertiser should email back within
a few days, however, if they have not replied to your email we recommend you
phone the property owner. You will find the property reference number on the
confirmation email sent to you on emailing the advertiser. You can quickly find
this advert again by entering this reference number into the search box on the
home page. Alternatively if you are concerned over the delay in response please contact our sales team at dhsales@cmpi.biz and they will be able to contact the advertiser for you.
I
have seen a hotel/property that I am interested in advertised on your website,
how can I contact the seller?.
Once you click on the “More Details”
link underneath the advert you are interested in you will be taken to that ad’s
full view. At the bottom of this page there are contact details to allow you
to contact the advertiser directly to request further information or to book.
I
am interested in a certain type of accommodation for a set holiday period but
I can’t find one listed on your website.
We have over 3,000 properties online,
however, there will be periods when all the accommodation in a certain resort
will be fully booked. All we can suggest is that you keep checking the site
– you can save your search to make this easier – or that you remove
the date from your search and contact the owner of any properties which then
appear in your search results and ask the owner if they will contact you should
they have a cancellation.
There
are a number of holiday properties on DaltonsHolidays.com that I am interested
in. Is there any way I can keep them all together so that I can refer back to
them later?
Yes – if you register you can
use the “My Clipboard” facility – under each advert there
is a link to “Save” the advert. Click on this and the property will
be added to your own private page. You can save up to 10 properties to your
Clipboard at any one time. You will need to register with us to use this facility,
however, all we require is your name and email address which we will not use
again without your permission.
I
want to show my friends/family the places I am interested in renting –
is there an easy way to do this?
Yes – if you register you can
use the “email a friend” facility – under each advert there
is a link to “Email” the advert. When you click this link a pop-up
will appear asking for your name and friend’s email address. However,
you will need to register with us to use this facility and log in before you
carry out your search. However, all we require is your name and email address
which we will not use again without your permission.
How
do I save my search criteria for use at a later date?
When you register you can use the “My
Saved searches” facility – at the top of your search results pages.
You can save up to 3 holiday searches. Next time you visit the site, just log
in using your username and password and you will be able to access your searches
and search with just one click. However, you will need to register with us to
use this facility and log in before you carry out your search. All we require
is your name and email address which we will not use again without your permission.
I
have forgotten my username and/or password.
Under the login boxes on the left hand
navigation panel there is a “forgotten password?” link. When you
click on this you will be asked for your email address to which we will then
email the password.
How
do I place an ad online?
On our navigation panel on the left
of the screen you will find a link for “To Advertise”. This page
will explain more about placing ads and the prices involved. You will need to
register with us to place your advert and once registered and logged in there
is a further link “What do I do next?” which can help you step-by-step
through the advert placement procedure. If you have concerns or further queries
