We have a new,luxury, two bedroom 3rd floor airconditioned apartment with private jacuzzi and wi-fi internet access on request, in the lovely fishing village of Santa Luzia 3 klms west of Tavira.
The apartment is furnished to a very standard with a jacauzzi and BBQ on the vast sheltered terrace overlooking the lagoon and Island beyond.
The apartment, situated on the 3rd floor is a 1 minute walk from the lagoon with its fishing boats and short ferry ride that takes you out to the lovely 14km long Ilha de Tavira with its golden sandy beaches, dunes and sheltered bathing: (ferries from the village to the island run from May-October), but a pleasant walk from the front takes you to the little train that runs to the island throughout the year. Within the village there are numerous restaurants and cafes, supermarkets and fish market. A regular bus service runs between Santa Luzia and the historical town of Tavira which is close to two golf courses.
Tavira is a thriving fishing port set on either bank of the River Gilao and is one of the Algarves most beautiful towns, with its balconied elegant houses. It is unspoiled by the hi/rise, with lovely restaurants and shops, a lively market, and outside Saturday market. Ferries run daily to the superb Ilha de Tavira.
