This charming 1st floor apartment is right in the heart of Old Lisbon near the bottom of the hill at the top of which is situated St George's Castle. It is a 10 minute walk to the castle, but only a 3 minute walk down to the Rossio, which is considered the centre of the Baixa or Downtown Lisbon. Located in Mouraria, the old Moorish quarter of 12th century Lisbon, the area is quiet and has a village feel to it. The apartment itself has a garden at the rear containing orange and lemon trees and a superb view of the city of Lisbon. It is ideal for slow summer lunches or cool evening dinners. The underground, Martim Moniz, and the trams (famous 28 tram passes close by) and buses are only 2 minutes from the house in the Largo de Martim Moniz, whilst the mainline station to Sintra is 7 minutes walk. Lisbon is such an intimate city that no attraction is far away. All facilities within walking distance. English speaking help on hand, maid, babysitting, laundry services available
