MONTE ALEM is set in the lovely unspoilt Eastern Algarve in the hills 12kms behind Santa Catarina. This converted old Portuguese farmhouse or Quinta has spectacular (!) 270 degree views of the surrounding hills and the sea down towards Tavira.
Facing south east towards the hilltop village of Alcaria Fria with his windmill, the house sits on its own in the most peaceful and tranquil setting imaginable. There are several lovely terraces around the house affording sun or shade as required. Alfresco dining areas are on the main terrace by the pool or under our large old cork tree out of the sun !
Surrounded by eucalyptus, citrus, olive and cork trees, this has to be one of the most stunning locations in this part of the Algarve, we challenge you to even remember what day it is while you are here !
